We may have heard that Japan has one of the highest rates of life expectancy in the world, especially in Okinawa. Up to 100 years old. Two-thirds of the islanders can live at home, cook on their own and live on their own completely. We will show the Japanese lifestyle, which is the real reason to live more than 100 years.

According to research published on CNN, although people living on the island of Okinawa do not run outside or go to the gym, but most of them gather in the park, practice tai chi, ride a bike and play Gateball with each others.

The Okinawan diet is a valuable lesson for the general public to follow. Japanese philosophy “Hara Hachi Bu” means to stop eating when we are 80% full. This country also does not have a culture of “finishing the plate” leading to overeating.

At the same time, Japanese eating habits are packed in 6 small drawers, and the way put food in many small drawers like this let the Japanese eat small but varied foods. Okinawans typically eat eight different fruits and vegetables and 18 different foods each day.

But this island’s diet has changed for the next generation of Japanese, with most turning to meat and nutritious foods instead of fish soybeans. In addition, Okinawa is also prone to traffic congestion, with many people switching from bicycles to cars which leading the pollution to the environment on the island.
