As you grow older, your immune system, bones, muscles, and other memory become weaker, and this is natural. As the body begins to deteriorate, it becomes more susceptible to disease . Here are the key points that inside our body change with age and how it affects ?
1- The main changes in body
- Cardiovascular system : the older you get, the lower your heart rate (pulse), while the heart may become larger due to the arteries and veins. The arteries are harder than before. It can be difficult for blood to flow, causing high blood pressure (hypertension) and other cardiovascular problems.
- Joints Bones and Muscles : After many years of work, the bones can become weak and shrink depending on the size and concentration of the bones. This means that strenuous physical activity can easily cause bone pain or injury. Older people can even become inferior. The muscles become less flexible and less strong, causing problems with balance. Body and daily activities.
- Digestive system Constipation : very common for older people with many reasons. Low fiber diet, low water intake, lack of exercise, diabetes and intestinal symptoms. Some medications can also cause constipation, such as diuretics and iron supplements.
- Bladder and urinary tract : Older people usually have difficulty urinating, and some medical conditions may be contributing factors. Obviously, the close relationship between diabetes and incontinence.
- Memory system : the older you get, the more you forget. This is a sign that the memory system in old age is getting weaker. Be aware that poor memory can be a symptom of Alzheimer’s disease. Elderly memory loss not only causes memory loss but also makes it difficult to maintain agility and Intellectual as well.
2- How to delay aging?
Eating habits or diet is one of the most important ways to slow down the aging process. Eat a balanced, healthy diet, such as:
- Less salt, fat and oil
- Do not eat too many sugary foods.
- Foods made from milk, such as milk and eggs
- Fish, especially fish with high in omega-3 fatty acids, which are good for the heart and reduce the risk of heart disease.
- Eat lots of vegetables. Vegetables contain fiber, vitamins and minerals needed by the body.
- Eat lots of different fruits. Fruits reduce the risk of high blood pressure, heart attack / stroke, obesity and some cancers.
- Bread, rice, potatoes and other starchy foods in moderation.
- Whole grain products are also good.
Another important point is to exercise regularly, such as walking, running, dancing, cycling, yoga or tai chi. Old people must not let themself too complicated or stressful.
